Wildcrafting Workshop, June 28th
So far, this year’s wildcrafting workshops have been super dreamy, and next Sunday is the last one of the season… come join us!
We’ll explore a wooded section of our community land, learn about the plants we find along the way, and harvest some that are particularly suited for first aid applications.
After our jaunt, we’ll settle by the pond to spend some time with our journals and sketchbooks, share a picnic, and make custom herbal oil blends to take home.
You might even want to bring a suit for a dip in the pond!

California Poppy
I am so in love with California Poppy. I love how it explodes over the green hillsides starting in early spring and blooms again in the fall.
The feeling I get from looking at its wild self is similar to the tincture’s impact on my body. As a nervous system sedative, it helps my body melt into bed, quiets my nonstop mind, and ushers me into a deep and peaceful sleep without any morning fog.
And if I’m feeling overwhelmed or uncomfortably buzzy during the day, a squirt of California Poppy in a little bit of water does me right.
Pedicularis
Pedicularis densiflora is a flaming red flower that can help sooth tensions of all kinds. We often use it for its muscle-relaxant qualities after long hikes or hours in the field. Combined with CBD tincture, it’s especially fantastic for muscular and nerve pain and tension headaches.
Pedicularis is also helpful for emotional and psychological tension, and some herbalists recommend using it to help unwind deeply stored trauma.
We have several customers—children and adults—who use it before work or school to help them move through the day from a grounded and relaxed inner space. Try some!
Lemon Balm
Have you ever smelled or tasted lemon balm? The sensory experience of it, alone, is incredible medicine for the soul. But its offerings go far beyond its deliciousness.
As a nervous system tonic, it works with neurotransmitters in the brain to promote calm, brightness, and mood balance. I like to take a dropper full for daily ease and a bit extra when I’m feeling anxious, frazzled, or blue.
It’s also a traditional remedy for the viruses that cause cold sores and shingles. Taking the tincture internally and applying it to cold sores externally can help you effectively manage them, and a combination of internal use and baths infused with fresh lemon balm can soothe the shingles pain.
On top of all that, it’s a useful remedy for nausea and bloating and gentle enough for children. And if you keep a lemon balm tincture in your bag, you’ll have an uplifting instant tea with you at all times!
*Sale good for 1oz. & 2oz. bottles only. Ends July 1st.

Astro-Tarot Special
Chiron, an asteroid and mythological figure known as the “wounded healer”, moved into earthy Taurus on June 19th. This six-year transit is a collective invitation for us to bring healing to the earth and our bodies, as well as to our relationships with our time, energy, money, and sense of self-worth.
AND, depending on where Taurus is in your chart, Chiron’s presence invites you to connect with and heal any wounds you carry associated with that realm of your life.
If you'd like to know more about the medicine that Chiron in Taurus has for you, as well as the medicine it wants you to offer others, I’m offering recorded $40 astro-tarot fusion readings for this healing transit.

…There is a place in the center of you, too, that longs to be aflame with life force energy. Life gives you all the friction you need to get a spark going, so you don’t need to go looking for it.
Your job is to tend to the nest that will receive it. Which is to say that your job is to create the conditions where inspiration can land. Your job is to create enough space in your mind and your days for an unexpected gift to enter, take hold, and become a tentative flame. And when it does… keep reading.
