As always in this wildcrafting business, we’re just emerging from the busiest two months of the year and, while the work is far from done, we’re finding a little more space for ease. Ahhhh…. I hope you are too.

In other news, our friends and neighbors at Oshala Farm—an organic herb farm in the Applegate Valley that provides high quality product to herbalists all over the country—recently had a devastating fire that took out much of the infrastructure they’ve built over the past 13 years.
They are trying to keep their forty workers paid without disruption, all while rebuilding all that they’ve lost. Tulsi
Oh Tulsi! She’s one of my great loves. Also known as Holy Basil, Tulsi is an herb that has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years.
As an adaptogen, Tulsi helps us deal with daily stressors and reminds us what it feels like to be both calm and alert. She also supports the lungs, thins mucus, helps balance blood sugar, and is sometimes used to elevate meditation and other spiritual practices. For a refreshing and relaxing evening beverage, I love a few squirts of Tulsi Tincture in iced or sparkling water with a bit of lime. And I always sleep a little more sweetly when I take Tulsi before bed.
Twist and Shout Salve
As its name implies, this herbal salve is our go-to for every bump, bruise, twist, sprain, strain, pain, and break that comes our way. We often recommend it to folks with achey knees and arthritic joints, and we rub it into our sore, work-weary hands every night before bed.
CBD Tincture
If you haven’t figured it out for yourself yet, CBD is helpful for almost everything… it’s anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, relaxing, mood-lifting, and has specific receptors in just about every system in the body. Our tincture is great for all those things, too, and is particularly excellent at sleep support and pain relief.

Tea and Tarot in Grants Pass
I’m excited to share that I’ll be doing live tarot readings at the Mystic Valley Farm Tea Shop in downtown Grants Pass on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 11am-3pm.
You can book ahead of time or drop in, and get a free drink and 10% off tea and beverage purchases. I will be there next on Wednesday, July 29th, and I hope to see you there!
